The RH Factor

BIO

Roy Hargrove’s “The RH Factor” one of the most boundary-breaking projects in modern jazz, blending jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and funk into a sound rooted in deep groove and virtuosic improvisation.

The band’s landmark 2003 album, *Hard Groove*—featuring collaborations with D’Angelo, Q-Tip, Common, Erykah Badu, and Anthony Hamilton—carried Roy’s music far beyond the jazz world and helped define a new sound for a generation of listeners and musicians.

Today, under the direction of Roy Hargrove Legacy, original members of The RH Factor reunite to carry that groove forward.

The lineup includes Keith Anderson, a longtime friend of Roy’s since their school days; Jason “JT” Thomas and Bobby Sparks, both part of the earliest formation of the band that led to *Hard Groove*; and Reggie Washington and Willie Jones III, both featured on the group’s debut album—together with vocalist Renee Neufville, one of the defining voices of The RH Factor sound.

The group is joined by longstanding touring members Bruce Williams, Jason Marshall, Todd Parsnow, and Brian Hargrove—Roy’s brother—bringing decades of shared history and musicianship to every performance.

Together, they bring Roy Hargrove’s musical vision, and the unmistakable groove of The RH Factor, powerfully back to life.
