BIO

The Birth of a Unique Sound
In the heart of Paris in the early 2000s, a group of musicians initiated a musical fusion that reshaped the boundaries between jazz and funk. Electro Deluxe was born. This daring French group dared to marry the freedom of jazz with the synthetic sounds of electronic music. Their journey began in 2001 when drummer Arnaud Renaville, saxophonist Thomas Faure, bassist Jeremie Coke, and keyboardist Gaël Cadoux decided to shake up the jazz scene with their unique vision.

The Rise of “Stardown”
In 2007, Electro Deluxe unveiled their sonic manifesto with the album “Stardown.” This debut showcased a fresh fusion of jazz, funk, and electronics with tracks like “Point G,” an instrumental piece with a distinctive flavor that encapsulates the DNA of their new sound.

An Unconventional Collective
Electro Deluxe was not just a band; it was a collective of sonic pioneers. By joining forces with the charismatic singer James Copley, the group quickly became known for their uncompromising musical experiments and intense live performances.

With albums like “Play” (2010), “Home” (2013), and “Circle” (2016), they pushed the boundaries, incorporating elements of soul, hip-hop, and R&B into their sonic palette. Each release was a testament to their commitment to artistic growth. Collaborations with Gaël Faye, Guillaume Poncelet, Didier Lockwood, Flavio Boltro, as well as Nils Landgren, Candy Dulfer, and Fred Wesley, provided the collective with a constant influx of freshness.
