Anthony Strong

BIO

With his sharply tailored suit and easy charm, singer-pianist Anthony Strong happily owns the role of ‘The English Gentleman’. Blending timeless repertoire with a serious jazz sensibility, he has built an international career spanning almost two decades, captivating audiences from the Hollywood Bowl to festivals and concert halls across Asia, Europe and beyond.

Born in London in 1984, Anthony grew up surrounded by music and went on to study jazz piano at The Purcell School and Guildhall School of Music & Drama. During his time at Guildhall, he established a reputation as a skilled arranger, accompanist and pianist, working alongside some of London’s leading singers and musicians. Singing came later, but by his early twenties he was performing regularly at the capital’s top jazz clubs, including Ronnie Scott’s and The 606 Club.
His debut EP, Delovely, led to a recording contract with Paris-based Naive Records, followed by a series of acclaimed albums and extensive international touring. His fourth album, Me and My Radio, brought further attention, with Anthony eventually surpassing 10 million Spotify streams.

His repertoire draws on the Great American Songbook, Broadway, blues, soul and classic pop, alongside his own blues-infused originals. Beneath the effortless charm is a deeply accomplished musician, whose swinging piano style and rich, swaggering vocals make every performance distinctly his own.
