BIO
Myles Sanko, born on May 8, 1980, in Accra, is a British soul and jazz singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and cinematographer. With Ghanaian and French roots, his music reflects a rich blend of culture, passion, and resilience.
He began performing in Cambridge nightclubs and busking on the streets before ndependently releasing his debut album, ‘Born In Black And White’ (2013), on his own label, 213 Music. This bold step led to licensing deals with labels in Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands. Since then, he has released acclaimed albums including ‘Forever Dreaming’ (2014), ‘Just Being Me’ (2016), ‘Memories Of Love’ (2021), and ‘Live at Philharmonie Luxembourg’ (2023).
Myles’ third album ‘Just Being Me’ channels the golden glow of the Motown era while carving out a sound that is unmistakably his own. It marks a turning point, blending though provoking lyrics with jazz textures, establishing him as both singer and storyteller.
Along the way, Myles has collaborated with renowned artists such as Gregory Porter, Martha High, China Moses, Nicola Conte and Grammy winning conductor Gast Waltzing among others.
